Because of World War II as well as the demand for exporter services Huffman Trucking Companies business had growth; this was because plants in the Midwest needing equipment shipped to locations on the East Coast. In 1945, Huffman Trucking enlarged their fleet to 36 trailers, and 16 tractors. The evolution to the company was due to acquiring five Eastern Exporters. This permitted Huffman Trucking to remain to be owned privately. The occupational methods and administrative structure uses the transaction processing system (TPS). The transaction processing system gathers, stores, retrieves, and adjusts all data transactions. At Huffman Trucking the delivery procedure encompasses receiving merchandises from shippers, organizing packages for transport to destinations, and loading the merchandises for shipping from facilities to the destinations. The shipping of packages from loading docks to destinations is a separate process. An amount of elements affect the delivery process at Huffman Trucking. The two causes that create the greatest difficulties is the method that moves packages from receipt to loading and the level of cooperation between loading dock workers and transport drivers. Businesses need to adjust to new and faster ways t o continue to be competitive by reaching clients and satisfying their needs. They currently outsource all of their IT needs. BrokerWare is software that is developed to help manage freight companies. It allows the management of operations, dispatch, carrier selection, routing, accounting, billing, tracing, collections, and much more. BrokerWare also has built in support for truckload, less-than-truckload, rail, expedited, and any type of equipment. With a dispatch tool, they could reduce time to enter in orders and shipping documents. Carrier selection could shorten carrier research times and profit margins. Communication can be improved with staff and customers accuracy with billing and relations because of that. John Ehle in his Trail of Tears: The Rise and Fall of the Cherokee Nation describes the contact between the Cherokee, other native tribes, the United States government and other European groups from the middle of the eighteenth century through the nineteenth century. He uses a narrative approach, attempting to connect the reader to the text by bringing out the character of historical people. In this way it reads half way between a historical fiction and a work of non-fiction, with elements of detail that would be possible to glean from historical documents such as a particular person having â€Å"soft hair, instead of the Idian’s more coarse, straight hair †1 followed immediately by factual and historical information about the languages and dialects spoken by the Cherokee people.2 It tries to take a balanced approach, spending as much time as possible focusing on both the Cherokee and American points of view, but occasionally indulges in elements of stereotyping, depicting all Cherokee men as tall, proud warriors or mystical shamans, for instance, removing a lot of the humanity that would connect the reader to the subjects of the book. This book makes excellent use of primary sources, providing long in text quotations for important documents and events, ranging from presidential proclamations to journal entries of people involved in those events. It also does an excellent job weaving historical information and information about Cherokee culture and practice throughout its narrative structure, both entertaining and informing in equal measure. Ehle also uses endnotes to add further historical explanation and outline sources of inf ormation; a full bibliography provides excellent material for further reading as well as understanding which elements of Ehle’s work are complete historical facts and which have been elaborated upon by the author. The relationship between the United States Federal government and the Cherokee nations shifted drastically between the 1776 and the middle of the nineteenth century, usually depending on the way the Cherokee could be useful or exploited by the government. As Ehle points out, members of the early federal government â€Å"fully intended to honor† both Cherokee land claims and any treaties that the Cherokees made with the government.3 In cases where white Americans violated the rights of Cherokee people, the federal government responded forcefully; in one case in 1792, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson signed a presidential proclamation offering a reward of â€Å"five hundred dollars† for the apprehension of a group of white Americans who â€Å"inva ded, burned and destroyed a town belonging to the Cherokee Nation.†4 When these measures proved less than completely successful, military officers were eventually used to apprehend people who had attacked a Cherokee group at a peace conference (along with the Federal government staff staying with them).5 Clearly, the US federal government once had the role of defending the Cherokee’s against the government’s own people and settlers, interacted with the Cherokee natio

Emperor Shi Huangdis Tomb There are many mysteries of human civilizations beginning and its continuing progression. In addition to these mysteries, grand structures from early civilizations still confuse us with their logic and places the method or the reasoning into complete obscurity. A good example of this is the Great Pyramid of Giza, this structure still fascinates the minds of researchers and laymen alike. There are so many other enormous structures which still today provide a debate over among the researchers and academics all over the world. I believe one of the magnificent but still mysterious early structure is the Qin Shi Huangdis Mausoleum. With just the vastness of the size of the tomb and all the complicated structures of the tomb portray a great mystery. The burial mound rises 140 feet above the plain and is estimated to be about 400 feet by 525 feet (Sayre, 2015, pp. 225-7). In addition to the size of the tomb there is the presence of the terracotta army and the privacy that was upheld in crea ting of the tomb makes it even more of a mystery, and even today its not really clear on what made the emperor come to this idea on having such a complicated and secret burial place. According to Sima Qin, an historian for the Han Dynasty adds more mystery to the tomb. Sima Qin is the grand historian and according to him the tomb contained palaces and scenic towers for a hundred officials, as well as numerous rare artifacts and treasures. In addition, two major rivers of China, the Yangtze and the Yellow River, were simulated in the tomb using mercury (The Secret Tomb, 2015). Additionally, he talks about other important features inside the tomb such as the rivers and other features of the land were represented on the floor of the tomb, its ceiling was decorated with the heavenly constellations (The Secret Tomb, 2015). Thus, what could have been behind the real reason to have all of this done? An art researcher Edmund Capon came up with a hypothesis for answering this mystery. Capon believed that the Emperor Shi Huangdi was fearful of his own demise and he fixation on finding the path to immortality (Wolff, 2007). These two factors are what prompted him to construct tomb which would imitate his authority and his greatness during his rule. The Emperor wanted to take all things that would show his authority and power so he took his extravagant army, his key officials and anything else that he would hold precious to him. Because of all of these things according to Capon, is why he built this amazing but still mysterious tomb. If where going to believe Chinese legend, then it could be said that Emperor Shi Huangdi was an alien and his tomb was his so-called spaceship with he would return home with. In the legend, the emperor lived in the mountains of Kunlun and he is said to have lived for over one hun dred years and after his rule he would return to the skies (Skyfloating, 2009). It was written that a cauldron could make a dragon appear from the sky that was metallic in color that could take the Emperor away (Was the Yellow, 2016). If this is a legend to be believed than the myth is that the tomb would be a ship that is sealed up and was meant to carry the Emperor away into space. Between the two theories I would have to say I would go with Capons theory about his afterlife would be more believable since it supported by reason and historic accounts. The past tells how the Emperors polices were very cruel and his despotic reign prompted the growth of his enemies most were the lords that he already had conquered, and these lords were organizing assassination attempts on the Emperors life possible at least three times. The attempts on the emperor life seem to be in response to his fearful though of his demise and wanting to find the path to immortally (Wolff, 2007). It could be said that Capons theory could go along with what some historically events and his theory on why the Emperor would have constructed such a tomb could go along with his reasoning on his thoughts about his demise and his pursuit for immortally. First, the one I like most, the Gothic stain glass windows of the Gothic Cathedral. Stained glass is argued to an opinion or belief, one of the most important aspects of Gothic cathedrals. As its popularity rose, mainly during the mid 12th century, the increased existence of st ained glass presented large changes to the way the general residents were learning about the religion. There are not a lot of gargoyles in America, as most of them are in Europe. Now today, there are still over 900 Cathedrals standing today in our world thanks to our OLD generation masons! Today you wouldn’t find people building cathedrals anymore. You would find some being repaired but never built. Well technically, a tiny church can become a cathedral if a bishop uses it as his official church but other than that none are being built today that my research knows of.
